Avening Revisited
Leisurely walk, 4.2 Miles (6.8km)
From Avening up past Brandhouse Farm along Hazel Wood and back down. Couple of hills but we’ll go at a gentle pace and several stiles. Also a rough and stony downhill track back into the village. Meet time is 10.20 and there is parking on the roadside in front of the school and church in Avening. Coffee stop only. Terrain 2 hilly and level mix. Leisurely pace.

Two Hawkesburys
Moderate walk, 6.3 Miles (10.1km)
From the car park of The Beaufort Arms , we head through the village, across fields and tracks to Kilcott. We then follow the Monarch's Way , crossing a field and track to the main road. A short distance on the road and then more fields, country lanes and tracks to Hawkesbury church. We then head up through the woods to further tracks which lead back to the start. Local terrain type 2, a few lengthy climbs both up and down, about 8 stiles. Coffee break only. Meet at 9.50am.
Food available in the Beaufort Arms after the walk. We will need to preorder in the morning before we start the walk. Toilets should be available in the pub before the walk. Please only park in the car park if eating in the pub.

Leisurely walk, 4.2 Miles (6.8km)
From car park we cross the A38 to Heneage Lane , crossing the fields past the lakes , through a woodland to the pool/weir/beach area at Damery where we will have a coffee break. Grassy paths through to Woodford/Stone , a bit of road walking and then more fields and tracks until we exit back on the A38 and follow this back to the car park. Terrain local grade 0, hardly any hills but approx 9 stiles , some of which are tricky. A38 is very busy but there are proper pavements. Meet at 10.20am at car park, location as below.

A Whistle Stop Walk!
Moderate walk, 8 Miles (12.9km)
Across fields and lanes following the Monach's Way to Ashley and then Culkerton. Through Trull House and footpaths back to The Trouble House, then following the disused railway line back to Tetbury.
Coffee and lunch stop
Last few fields can be muddy after a lot of rain

It Should Have Been The Sloe Gin Walk
Leisurely walk, 4.1 Miles (6.6km)
An almost flat walk along the Severn Way, skirting around the power station and back along a bridleway.
T1 - very little climbing ( only 44ft. )
Coffee stop only. Very good food available at The Anchor Inn at the end of the walk.

Moderate walk, 5.5 Miles (8.9km)
Walk down to Painswick stream, up to Greenhouse court, Wysis way, Paradise.
Terrain 2 - Hilly and level mix. There will be mud where we cross a small brook.

Malmesbury Mooching
Leisurely walk, 4.5 Miles (7.2km)
A varied walk from Malmesbury to Lea, pretty river paths, some tarmac paths, and across fields. At the end of the walk there is a choice - either walk through Malmesbury town centre ( Abbey, cafes & pubs ) or take a riverside walk back to the car park. Terrain level 1 - not much climbing, a little more if you choose to finish in the town. Riverside paths may be boggy - this could be a wellie walk!!!

Alongside the Beacon to Cud Hill and down the scarp to Moorend
5 stiles. Muddy in places where churned up by the cattle and horses.

Unfinished Buisness
Moderate walk, 6 Miles (9.7km)
This is the second half of an August that was curtailed.
Views of the Severn as we circle the golf course. Quiet lanes through Park Wood, down Warend Hill to Pitt Court and then fields and woodland as we climb Nibley Knoll. There will be an opportunity, for those who wish, to climb Tyndale's monument if it is open. Return to Stinchcombe along more quiet lanes, fields and woodland.
Coffee stop only at the monument.
Two steep descents and ascents, expect some mud after rain.

Frampton Mansell village hall, Cowcombe woods, canal path. 1 descent, 1 ascent. We need to walk at a moderate pace but enough to get us back in time for the AGM. Terrain 2 Hilly and level mix. Bring a packed lunch to eat on our return before the AGM. Brief coffee stop if time allows. Please meet at 9.50.

Across fields behind Chavenage House, woodland passing by the hermits cave, quiet lanes towards the outskirts of Tetbury and Highgrove House. Fields and tracks to Beverston and its castle, return to start over more fields.

From Selsley common, to King Stanley, follow canal to Dudbridge then cycle path to Woodchester, through Boundry Court and climb back onto common.
Terrain 2 Hilly and level mix
1 steep climb, 1 lesser climb, a flight of steps, 3 stiles. Maybe muddy in places.
Two stops. Coffee at Dudbridge station site.
I have included a short lunch sop, interesting to utilise Field barn and read information boards.

Not our usual Saturday walk but I have done this before. Along the cycle track to Stroud then time to spend looking around the Christmas farmers market and Five Valleys shopping centre then back along the canal

Two Sides to Rodborough
Moderate walk, 6.5 Miles (10.5km)
We start by circling Rodborough Fort with views across to the R. Severn then across the common looking towards Woodchester Valley. Lanes through St. Chloe and Theesecombe before climbing up to Minchinhampton Common, returning behind Bownham Park with views towards Thrupp and the Golden Valley.
We will be passing Winstones on our return if anyone wants an ice-cream!
One steep ascent and descent, walking poles would be useful as it will be muddy after rain.

In Search of the Giant Snowdrop
Moderate walk, 7 Miles (11.3km)
From the Fort we cross Rodborough Common before dropping down steeply to the canal. Along the canal to the out skirts of Chalford before a steep climb to Hyde where the snowdrops will hopefully be putting on a display. Return through Besbury, Burleigh and Bownham, a mixture of lanes and common tracks.

Miserden, Winstone Hill, Syde, Caudle Green, Whiteway, Honeycombe, Miserden. A mixture of quiet lanes, tracks, woods and fields. Muddy after rain. A couple of steep, woodland ascents.
