At Easter 2014 myself and two friends started to walk the Hobblers Way from the Sir Peter Scott lighthouse at the Nene Estuary in Norfolk. The original end of this route was the Aust Motorway Service Station but we have decided to give it a Sir Peter Scott theme and end at Slimbridge Wildfowl Trust.
We walk on Saturday mornings, because that works for us. We meet at a pub at 9:00 am, take one car to where we finished the previous leg and start walking about 9:30 am. We usually make it back to the other cars in time for lunch and a pint.
Our current schedule is as follows
7th February - Moreton-in-Marsh to Bourton-on-the-Water. Meet at http://www.dukeofwellingtonbourton.co.uk/s_foodanddrink.asp
14th February - Bourbon-on-the-Water to Withington. Meet at http://www.thegoodpubguide.co.uk/pub/view/Mill-Inn-GL54-4BE
7th March - Withington to Foston's Ash Grove. Meet at http://www.food-club.com/pubs/fostons-ash/
21st March - Foston's Ash Grove to Westrip. Meet at http://www.thevinetreerandwick.co.uk/
11th April (probably) - Ocker Hill to Slimbridge. Meet at http://www.thetudorarms.co.uk/
We would be happy to be joined by any other walkers on any of the above stages and in particular would like to make a bit of an event of the very last stage. We will have completed the whole walk in 18 stages and will have managed to find 18 country pubs that haven't actually been closed down.
