Walk together at Kings Stanley

Saturday 15th September join us in Kings Stanley for a morning or day walk with Groups from across the Gloucestershire Ramblers Area. There is also a short morning map reading course.

Groups from across gloucestershire meetup for some walks

Join the Cleeve group for a 3.0 mile easy walk.

Please note this is a Saturday.The chance for groups from across the County to get together by way of attracting members of the public to see the workings of the Ramblers. The day will start at 10 am with a short introduction which will be followed by the opportunity to join a number of walks of varying lengths (3,6 and 10 miles) at the end of the day groups will return to the village hall for afternoon tea. Picnic lunch or sandwiches at the hall. . Map Exp 168

Join the South Cotswold group for a 6.0 mile moderate walk.

Bagpath, Ozleworth Bottom, Lasborough. Terrain 3 Hilly. Pub lunch available at finish.

Join the Forest of Dean group for a 10.5 mile moderate walk.

First ascent straight up to the summit using quieter paths to be taken at a sensible pace. Then down through St Mary's Vale before crossing to The Derri for the second ascent and traverse back to the start. Mixed terrain underfoot with some stiles. Lower route if weather poor on the day which would shorten the walk.

Join the South Cotswold group for a 6.0 mile moderate walk.

A flat walk along the Thames Path to Somerford Keynes. Return route is thro' Somerford Keynes, alongside the lakes back to Ashton Keynes. Plenty of bird life and big skies. May be soggy in parts... Terrain 0 Level. Food available at the White Hart in Ashton Keynes. Please order lunch before start.

Selsley Common, Woodchester Mansion, Coaley Peak, back to start. Terrain 2 Hilly and level mix. Bring a picnic. Part of Gloucestershire Ramblers Walk Together event.

Fields, woods, canal path. Terrain 1 Not much climbing. Pre-book lunch at the Crown.

We shall include Berkeley in our route. Terrain:1 Not much climbing. Bring a packed lunch.

Join the Forest of Dean group for a 9.0 mile moderate walk.

Through fields, woodland, to Lydbrook valley, up onto old railway and tramway. Climbing towards Edge End, then to Berry Hill and Hillersland. Finally via lanes and farmyard to start point.
