Monday Strolls

Join the South Cotswold group for a 3.5 mile leisurely walk.

Skinners Mill, Stark Hill, Packhurst, Edge Hill and Washbrook Farms. Terrain 2 Hilly and level mix. Hills will be taken slowly. Pubs in Painswick.

Bisley, Througham, Battlescombe, Bisley. Terrain T1 Not much climbing. Food possible after at The Bear Inn. Pre book food if needed.

Amberley, Bownham and Rodborough Common. An easy-paced, “Start The Week” walk with few stiles and on lanes and common land. Terrain 1 Not much climbing. Pub lunch possible at the end.

Up past Dingle Wood, stroll onto Selsley Common, SE to Inchbrook then north, back to S Woodchester. Terrain 2 Hilly and level mix. Lunch available at the Ram Inn after walk.

At a steady pace up to London Road, on to Conygre Woods and then Coombe Hill with splendid views, down to Coombe, level walk to Dyers Brook Lake (pond) on to Hollywell, Marchesi Walk and back to pub. Good food available, menu viewable at start.

Midweek Walks

Lodgemore Bottom and Pond, Avening Park, Avening Church, Macmillan Way, Chavenage House. Terrain 1 Just one climb.

Join the South Cotswold group for a 7.5 mile moderate walk.

Starting in Painswick and passing through the hamlet of Edge. Terrain 3 Quite hilly. Mainly on footpaths, which are likely to be very wet, and with many stiles. Please bring a picnic.

Fostons Ash via Ebworth and Cranham returning via Climberwell. A mixture of woods and open country. Terrain 2 Hilly and level mix. May be muddy in wet weather. Lunch available at Fostons Ash, please pre order.

A near-flat circular walk taking in the two canals, Whitminster village and field paths. Terrain 1 Not much climbing. A few rather rickety stiles. Food available at the pub; no need to pre-order.

Bulls Cross, Wickridge, Hammonds Farm, Sheephouse, Greenhouse Court. Terrain 2 Hilly and level mix. Relatively level paths and tracks, a long, steady climb at the end of the walk out of the Painswick valley.

One shortish steep climb up towards the Tyndale monument, through Westridge Wood to Wotton Hill, down to the town and back past Brackenbury ditches. Pub lunch possible - please pre-order. Terrain 2 Hilly and level mix.

From Buckholt Wood through Upton and Brockworth Beech woodlands to the top of the Cheese Rolling Coopers Hill, returning through Coopers Hill Woods, down towards Monks Ditch via Cotswold Way back to Cranham. Terrain 3 Quite hilly. No stiles but some steep sections. Black Horse and Royal William pubs nearby.

Across the valley to Boundary Court, Selsley Common. Terrain 3 Quite hilly. Some short sharp ascents.

Weekend Walks

Join the South Cotswold group for a 7.0 mile moderate walk.

Mostly flat walk along the Severn and the Coombe Hill Canal. Terrain 0 Level. May be muddy! Opportunity to visit Odda's Chapel and/or the Church at Deerhurst. Both are well worth a visit. No Pubs or Cafes at the start, but several within easy reach.

Bibury, Coln St Aldwyns, Hatherop, Fairford, Quenington. Terrain 2 Hilly and level mix. Picnic lunch.
