Weekday walks

Weekend Walks

Join the Gloucestershire Walking Group group for a 12.0 mile strenuous walk.

Meet at 9:45 for a 10:00 am start at Victoria Road car park, Great Malvern. The walk takes us up Worcester Beacon via St Ann's Well, then there is a ridge walk to the Malvern Hills Hotel, below British Camp (with a picnic stop and chance for a drink or ice cream), and spectacular views on a clear day.

The return to Malvern takes a lower route, with hopefully a display of bluebells at Black Hill.

Join the Gloucestershire Walking Group group for a 5.0 mile leisurely walk.

Take a steam train from Cheltenham to Toddington.  Departs 10:55 ensure enough time to get a ticket.  Walk from Toddington along the Winchcombe via Hailes Abbey.  Finish at the beer festival at Winchcombe station.  Return by train to Cheltenham.

Walks for 20-30s

Join the Gloucestershire Walking Group group for a 8.5 mile moderate walk.

Distance 8.5 miles
One moderate hill at start of walk

Starting near Claverton, this walk takes us through some stunning views of the very southern end of the Cotswolds and continues down and through Bath city centre itself with views over the Avon valley. We also walk along the Kennet and Avon canal to complete this walk. Pub will be available a short drive from the end of walk and will be on the route home for most people.

Please bring a packed lunch and wear good footwear as the start is hilly.

Car sharing recommended!
