If you’re not yet a member you’re welcome to try a few walks with us for free.
Becoming a member (choose £3 per month or £33 per year)  not only helps keep local footpaths open but our walks are still free!

Weekday walks

Join the Gloucestershire Walking Group group for a 3.0 mile leisurely walk.

A pleasant short walk in the upper Coln valley and along the ancient 'Salt Way' via Brockhampton and Sevenhampton.  This Cotwold walk is part of the series created for the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee in 2012.

Join the Gloucestershire Walking Group group for a 4.0 mile moderate walk.

PLEASE NOTE EARLIER START TIME AND LET ARASH KNOW IN ADVANCE IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO EAT AFTER THE WALK

Meet at 6.15 for 6.30 start in the car park of the Red Lion Pub, Wainlode, Norton, GL2 9NW.

A short circular walk around Wainlode Hill along the river and through fields with lovely views. Start time 6:30 pm prompt (instead of 7pm as it is a slightly longer walk). 

Drinks and food for those who would like to eat after the walk at Red Lion - please let walk leader know if you plan to eat.

Please note the pub has limited capacity so we will not be publishing this event on Meetup.

Meet at 6:45 pm for 7:00pm start outside the 3-Horseshoes pub at the far end of the green in Frampton-on-Severn GL2 7DY.

A walk around the beautiful village of Frampton, secluded lakes and the Gloucester-Sharpness canal then back to the 3-Horseshoes for their famous 3-Shu Pies.

Please park considerately in the village.  For those eating please order before we start the walk.

Weekend Walks

Join the Gloucestershire Walking Group group for a 9.0 mile moderate walk.

Meet at 9.45am for 10am start. Park by or near St Briavels Castle which is just off the B4228 road - the Chepstow to Coleford Road.

A walk from the castle with fine views, woodlands and meadows. One steep hill and a section of Offa's Dyke down to a flat stretch along the river Wye from Bigsweir Bridge to Brickweir for lunch at 1pm, where there is a pub and toulet facilities. Continue via the ancient village of Hewelsfield back to car park. Picnic lunch. Latecomers can join for the 2nd half at Brockweir Bridge and get a lift back to their cars. Drinks at the George pub.
