If you’re not yet a member you’re welcome to try a few walks with us for free.

Weekday walks

Join the Gloucestershire Walking Group group for a 2.5 mile moderate walk.

Meet at 18:45 to order food before the walk.

The walk starts at the Edgemoor Inn and meanders uphill in order to take in the views over Painswick before entering woods and then back down the hill for well earned meal or a drink.

Weekend Walks

Join the Gloucestershire Walking Group group for a 7.0 mile moderate walk.

Meet at 9.45am for 10 am start in Back Lane car park, Winchcombe.

The walk starts in the library car park, Back Lane, Winchcombe (Back Lane car park £1 on sundays), 7 miles - moderate with a few ascents and descents.

The walk will involve a climb up over Langley Hill, towards Stanley Pontlarge, along the Gloucestershire and Warwickshire railway track and down into the Prescott Hill Climb course for a leisurely lunch while we watch the various classic and vintage cars in the Midsummer Speed Festival (discounted entrance fee of 5.00 instead of 12.00/£15.00, food and drinks available at the course). Then we make our way back down the hill via some interesting wood carvings, to Winchcombe and further pub or tea stop.

Join the Gloucestershire Walking Group group for a 8.0 mile moderate walk.

Meet 9.45am for 10am start.

A circular 8 mile easy to moderate walk through fields and forest from village of Newland to Bigsweir Bridge over River Wye and back walking along the river to arrive at The Boat Inn for a drink before heading back to the Newland. A very scenic walk and mostly on tracks.

Please bring packed lunch. Drinks near the end of walk at The Boat Inn and also at The Ostrich Inn at the end of the walk!

Join the Gloucestershire Walking Group group for a 9.0 mile moderate walk.

Meet 9.45am for 10am start.

A circular and scenic walk from The Great Malvern. We'll go uphill and stop at St Ann's Wells to fill our bottles up with cold spring water and also can use the public toilet there. Then climb up to Worcestershire Beacon and follow the undulating ridge path to British Camp for a well deserved ice cream! Public toiltes nearby. We then go through open fields and meadows to reach 'The Kettle Sings' cafe for a possible stop for tea and cake! We then climb up to Jubliee Hill and walk on lower part of the hill on the East side through woodlands, quarries and park to reach back at The Great Malvern. A very enjoyable walk with beautiful panaromic views. Please bring packed lunch. Drinks after at the Mount Pleasent pub.

Walks for 20-30s

Join the Gloucestershire Walking Group group for a 7.5 mile moderate walk.

Meet at 9:45am for a 10am start

This is a Circular walk between North Nibley and Wotton-under-Edge. The walk starts through Woodland along the Cotswold Way before heading up Coombe Hill which offers great views of the surrounding area. We will finish with a drink in the Black Horse Inn. There are a couple of steep climbs and the walk is muddy in parts. We will stop for lunch halfway so please bring a packed lunch
