Midweek Walks

Join the Gloucester group for a 4.5 mile leisurely walk.

A walk along the river from Tewkesbury to Twyning and back with the possibility of viewing otter. Travel Donation £2.30

Join the Gloucester group for a 5.0 mile moderate walk.

Walking across open fields to the isolated hamlet of Sudgrove with views all the way and then past Througham Court returning along country lanes. A few up and downs but mainly flat and always scenic. Travel Donation £2.80

Join the Gloucester group for a 6.0 mile leisurely walk.

This is one of three Whitmore Way walks around the villages of Corse and Staunton. This walk starts from Staunton heading east, then turns south to pass St Margaret's church before turning north past Pitts Mill and 19th century Chartist cottages before returning to The Swan at Staunton. Travel Donation £1.80

A short evening walk on Alney Island followed by a buffet at The Riverside.

A walk from Somerford Keynes around various lakes where there should be evidence of beaver and otter activity. Travel Donation £5.40

Weekend Walks

Join the Gloucester group for a 10.5 mile strenuous walk.

Starting at the Car Park opposite the Queens Head Inn climbing towards the Gaer Hill Fort and later the open hillside. Walking north along the ridge to Bal Bach and then descent to Llanthony Priory. Ascend the path to Hatterall Hill and walk south to return to start. Bring a packed lunch. Travel Donation £7.30

Join the Gloucester group for a 8.5 mile moderate walk.

From Ledbury we follow paths and tracks through orchards and vineyard with scenic views of Ledbury Viaduct. The walk is via Wellington Heath, Coddington, Oyster Hill and then follows the Herefordshire Trail back to Ledbury. Bring a packed lunch. Travel Donation £3.50

Join the Gloucester group for a 9.0 mile moderate walk.

A walk re-scheduled from the last programme. Eardisland (interesting black & white buildings). Out into open countryside, including walking along the River Arrow. Bring a packed lunch. Travel Donation £6.80

Being a linear walk, as in section 1, we wil need to do a car shuttle which will mean involving more cars than usual. Bring a packed lunch and please ring the leaders if intending to go staight to the walk. Travel Donation £2.10 which includes the cost of car shuttle.
