Donate a gate

If you’re interested in funding a new gate in your local area please contact us.
In these days of continuing cutbacks in budgets, every little helps!

From time to time we administer donations and legacies to further improvements in access to the footpath network

The Bradbury Bequest is currently funding signing of footpaths around Cheltenham.

The Bradbury Bequest was made many years ago to finance footpath signs within 5 miles of Cheltenham GPO. The bequest was held by the Open Spaces Society but Gloucestershire Ramblers originally given the task of allocating funds. Numerous signs have been erected in the area specified but decision was recently made to transfer the rest of the funds to Glos CC to be administered as per the bequest.

Lilian’s Legacy is currently funding footpath improvements

Miss Lilian Wise lived at Churchdown and was a  member of Gloucester Group. She was a regular walker with, and leader for, the Area Mid-week walkers, I particularly remember a Weekend she organised for us to walk the Mortimer Trail.  She passed away in 2011 and left a legacy to Gloucestershire Ramblers Association “to be made available for the Association’s activities in Gloucestershire”,
